Since 1963
History:
Founded in 1963, Transformateur Fédéral Ltée began on Cherrier Street in Pointe-Aux-Trembles in its founder's garage. Fueled by the Quiet Revolution and the economic development of Montreal and its surrounding area, the company quickly expanded and had to enlarge its premises, which would eventually be located on 40th Avenue. It thus succeeded in becoming a leader in Quebec in the distribution of materials for sign manufacturing during the 1970s.
In 1988, the head office of Transformateur Fédéral Ltée was moved to 5059 Saint-Jean-Baptiste Boulevard in Pointe-Aux-Trembles. Located in the heart of the industrial district, its new premises provided strategic access and a large inventory.
With the advent of the digital and printing era, the company expanded its operations in 1989 by creating Graphiques Fédéral. This division of the parent company enabled it to meet the growing demand in the production of display media.

During the 1990s, the company diversified its offering by acquiring an aluminum extrusion division and electronic products.
We launched our first website with an email address in 1995. In 2001, we created our first digital catalogue on CD-ROM, followed by several updates over the years.
To celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2013, we put our catalogue online. Now, 60 years later in 2024, we have a new platform that we will be rolling out throughout the year.
