Since 1963
History:
Founded in 1963, Transformateur Fédéral Ltée began on Cherrier Street in Pointe-Aux-Trembles in its founder's garage. Driven by the Quiet Revolution and the economic development of Montreal and its surrounding areas, the company quickly expanded and had to enlarge its premises, which were located on 40th Avenue. It thus succeeded in becoming a leader in Quebec in the distribution of materials for sign manufacturing during the 1970s.
In 1988, Transformateur Fédéral Ltée's head office was transferred to 5059 boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Pointe-Aux-Trembles. Located in the heart of the industrial district, its new premises provided strategic access and a large inventory.
With the new era of digital and printing, the company added a new string to its bow in 1989 by creating Graphiques Fédéral. This division of the parent company will allow it to meet the new demand in the manufacturing of display media.
During the 1990s, the company diversified its offering by acquiring an aluminum extrusion and electronic products division.
We launched our first website with email address in 1995. In 2001, we created our first digital catalog on CD-Rom, followed by several updates over the years.
To celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2013, we put our catalog online. So here we are 60 years later in 2024 with a new platform that we will deploy throughout the year.
